Yeah. I downloaded that when it first came out (and I've actually managed to play SF Alpha 3 online). But does it let my friends on my PS3 friends list know that I'm using it or which game I'm playing? I honestly don't know. *edit* I just noticed the highlighted part. My point was that, unless you are insanely lucky, the odds of somebody playing some old game online at the same moment that you're looking for them online is pretty slim. If there was a friends list, somebody might notice that you're playing Syphon Filter Dark Mirror and challenge you/set up a game. With no friends list, it's pretty much just "search until you find a game". The good thing about Ad Hoc Party is that you can join a room and look for people--even in games that only support local online. It just needs better implementation. |
I totally agree with you on this, would be really great to do this. I'd be much more willing to play online if i could see my friends playing and join them. I don't have many friends with PSPs, but it would be awesome to just catch up with them.
No doubt the PSP2 will have that functionality trophies.
