Why compare Demon Souls to Tales of? One is an ARPG more western style than Japanese, with dungeon crawling as its main attraction; another one is pure Japanese RPG, with anime cut scenes and epic story as its attraction. Both are great in their own right.
PS3 needs more RPG from diverse genres: JRPG likes Tales of and Persona , ARPG and dungeon crawler like Demon Souls, SRPG like Valyria Chronicles, MMORPG like DC Universe Online and WRPG like Dragon Age. My next dream after Tale of series is for Mass Effect (shooter RPG??) to become cross-platform since Bioware just announce their ambition to sell more than 10 millions, they surely need to cross-platform to achieve that.
