I've made is clear that for me, Kinect is the least useful motion control opton, due to limiting factor of relying purely on input based on tracking of your movements without fine control.

But... I've realized it doesn't matter.  I'm a form and function guy, I nearly became an Architect and Engineer - something being best for purpose matters to me.  But that's not the focus for the average customer for Kinect.

Whether it is the best way to play a game or not if people find it fun then they find it fun.  To me knowing whether a device is good and response affects my enjoyment - it's just the way I'm wired.  But clearly for a lot of people it doesnt matter.

The fun is all that matters.

I have said I think Kinect will be popular in US and UK and I stick with that.  I think a lot of people are going to think playing around with it, swaying about and jumping on the raft, etc. is fun and they're not really going to be judging the device the way I would.

So I'm going to make my peace with the fact that, for now anyway, the goals for Kinect have diverged with what interested me when it was first shown - the Milo & Kate elements in particular - and just wait and see how well it connects (sorry) with it's target demographic.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
