I don't see how anyone can say that Ubuntu is the best os ever made. I have had several versions of it over the years and while it is a really good OS it is no where near Win7.
An example:
When I upgraded from Vista ( which was shit), I had no problems whatsoever with the process. It found all the drivers and everything worked like a charm. On the other hand when I tried upgrading a couple of computers at work to Ubuntu 10.4 I had more problems than it was worth. Finding drivers was an event in its own. And for a lot of computers you either have to make your own drivers or have someone do it for you. Good luck with that.
While Eventually Linux may be better than Windows at some time in the distant future, it is no where near as good right now. Compatability issues, driver issues and install issues alone should prove to most that 10.4 still has a ways to go. And until the majority of people use Linux, there will always be issues with compatability.
