Being someone who tried Kinect at Macy's in Chicago that first video fail had nothing to do with the flashes. It had everything to do with the girl simply must not understand english because Kinect/Kinect sports was telling her to move over and she ignored it. We played with Kinect for almost 1.5 hours and it worked with no issues in a department store with people coming and going all the time.
We have a Wii at home and is it massive Nintendo fail when someone move the WiiMote outside the range of the Wii? Is it massive fail when the Wii cant find the Wiiboard all of a sudden. Same thing happens with Kinect if you get to far away, to close or stand behind something.
I know a great deal of you are jealous that Nintendo or Sony did not come up with Kinect. It works, the press and others that havent wanted it to fail that have tried it have confirmed it.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
