See now, I wouldn't think this. If they go a Halo movie rout, it needs to not be about Master Chief period. There's iconography surrounding the imagery of the series that has nothing to do with him, and it would make for a much stronger story if it did not involve him at all (similar to how the best parts of the Halo novels had nothing to do with MC - now I know what he looks like in my head).

A Halo movie without MC represents an even more uninteresting proposition than one that contains him... for me anyway.  TBH I'd rather see films like District 9 or Inception being invested in than a Halo trilogy with regard to SF.

In fairness, I'm not sure you would be the target audience.
