Im atheist, and most poeple I am friends with are atheists. I personally believe religion is probably the largest setback our society has. To me that is sad, but whatever. There are some crazy religious people out there who devote their entire lives to showing how insecure they are. If you are honestly secure with yourself and beliefs, you do not devote your time doing things such as protesting how OTHERS live their lives, or go door to door trying "spread the word". You sit back and live your own life, being satisfied or "fulfilled" with that.

You should not be worried about any outside "forces" or whatever influencing you. If you honestly say you cannot live in a world with ______ people, or _______ people, or people who believe _______, or you cannot tolerate _______,  then it means you are afraid of them somehow influencing you, and you are insecure.

When you are driving down a highway and see a billboard with a heart monitor line and "when you die, you will meet god", you just have to chuckle. I do because it is pathetic as an obvious attempt to "scare" you into religion, it shows how scared religious people CAN be.

I have had a sign on my door asking "no soliciting of any kind", and have had 3 people already trying to share the bible with me. The first 2 got a "sorry, I am not interested, but thank you". The 3rd got me in my tight boxers fingering my nipples. I haven't had one since.
