Yeah. I mean this is all new to me an all but it didn't look like deathstroke was using it to give Batman orders ... I do agree that that was just a horrific scene seeing Batman being beaten hopelessly with a 2x4

Yep I think he used it so batman can't break free since it's practically indestructible (or in a later plot twist to get some info out of him since the one bound will not lie)

And also it wasn't that shocking if you think that Batman has never really defeated the guy 1-1...ever...Deathstroke is in a different league when it comes to combat
