I was thinking the exact same thing. There has never been a game with an atmosphere and feeling that you get from Alan Wake. Its just something very different in terms of it being 99% psychological and atmosphere. Like you said running around in the dark with a flashlight does not = Alan Wake like.
However like others said the concept is cool and hopefully it turn out to be a good game.
