first of all, many studies have shown that engaging in violent video games have shown no causal link to violent behavior. As a matter of fact, th evidence seems to support the notion that when violent people play these games, they actually give them a chance to vent dangerous emotions and it results in less violent behavior.

 

Secondly, I don't mind this proposed law. While there can be no law that substitutes for good parenting, I wouldn't mind being able to filter what my 16 y/o son is exposed to. He plays Call of Duty and God of War, as do I. He also knows the limits of what acceptable behavior is. As a parent, I'm not worried about him playing these sort of games.
