I respectfully disagree. Dragon Age is nothing like Baldur's Gate. It isn't even in the D&D setting. The characters are uninteresting and the game looks ugly. Baldur's Gate has a much more convincing world, looks a lot better and has much more atmosphere.

To me, Dragon Age is more like Neverwinter Nights 3 than Baldur's Gate 3.


Clearly you didn't play it, because you're simply wrong. 

I am wrong? Have you even played it? It doesn't use the D&D ruleset and doesn't take place in the D&D universe. For these type of games, the D&D setting matters to me, and I prefer the game to be in 2D, as the handdrawn environments in Baldur's Gate have much more personality then the ugly polygons in Dragon Age.
