Hey you just need a 5$ battery. You dont even need to unscrew the saturn, the battery is accessible by a trap in the back. The battery can be purchase at any wal-mart. I changed mine lately because shining force 3 episode 2 and 3 is now available on the net with english patch. You need an original CD to use disc swap method to play burned CD. Please note playing burnt saturn CDs doesnt cause any prejudice to Sega since they arent selling original saturn games anymore.

Your ideas intrigue me and I would like to subscribe to your magazine. I'd figured the battery was some proprietary device which hasn't been manufactured since 1999...

The battery is a CR2032, its pretty easy to find. If you would like to know sites where you can download saturn CD ISO PM me. To see vids on disc swapping method simply check youtube (saturn disc swap).

Hey, that's the same battery used for replacing SNES game save batteries! ...I think it works in Gameboy games, too?
