For me, this UK chart proves 2 things.

First: That was a quiet week. You can see that the top of the charts are only old games.

Second: The huge amount of Xbox 360s sold were not only replacement units. Games like Gears of War 2 and Fable III appear on that list. Even Splinter Cell Conviction is up.

I think perhaps the huge number of 360's sold last week were a lot of upgraders, but the 360's sold this week (first full week of sales) went to new buyers. So in the UK at least there will be a pretty big number of consoles sold with the number of re-entries into the top 40/50. Interesting that there are a few re-entries in for PS3, is that going platinum perhaps?

Some games for 360 up and other's down, it's an interesting mix. A lot of the games directed towards the younger audience, and other G-rated games are down, but the adult/violent games are mostly up.

Hard to get a read on the rest of the Euro chartz whether 360 has had another extremely high HW week on the continent or whether 360s's load was mostly blown on opening day.

Well, in UK chart is 15 360 games vs 8 PS3. That's a much stronger 360 performance than average (it is usually almost even). So it was probably helped by strong hardware sales.
