Good decision IMO. There was no need to sex him up and turn him into a cookie cutter action hero. It's not so much the giving him a new look that I thought was off, but rather that the new look was so cliche. Even with the current trend of being all tattooed. It was like badass by numbers.
Wouldn't have stopped me from playing the game though. Rerally liked the first one, even though I was initially not interested in buying it. Lucky when I bought my PS3 it was bundled either with inFamous or Ghostbusters. I think I went with the right choice.
