Well, then you could argue most of the things dont come from choice, Muslims arent the only ones that have to worry about dishonoring family members or friends or god.

And its not entirely about muslims, if for whatever reason I wanted to wear a Burka just because I want it, there is no reason, maybe security, I couldnt wear it. This assuming France has western views of rights they contributed so much creating, its about being consecuent with your own beliefs as a culture.
