Argh. Stupid VGC.
I compiled a list of federal spending by president, and it lost it :-
I will re-do the list. Here is the quick of it, though: Herbert Hoover ranks as one of the worst presidents in the past 100 years when it comes to 4-year presidents and increasing federal spending...He increased spending by 34% during his term in office. I think it ranks either 2nd or 3rd of the worst ones of the past 100 years.
I'll re-post my findings, but again, I must ask...If he believed in austerity, why was he one of the worst in terms of real spending?
