The current hatred towards homosexuality seems far more likely to come from the blanket condemnation of sodomy in the Abrahamic religions.

We don't know how prevalent it was. And pedophilia is not the same as homosexuality.

 

We do know how prevalent it was (very, historical records and the artwork show this - it was essentially a rite of passage into manhood) and it is still a completely accepted and common form of homosexual relationship which simply would not occur if your 'theory' that we have a biological aversion to homosexual acts was true.

Also hebephilia not pedophilia to be technically correct.
