I don't know what you get in the UK...

But in USA you get unlimited music downloads while you are a member. Once you stop being a mamber you lose the tunes...however every month you get to keep 10 songs as your own.

It works out as it costs as much as 1 album per month in USA, and lets you keep 1 album per month. And in the meantime you get access to pretty much all music you could possibly want as long as you are a member...

I would definately buy it over IPOD. Mainly because I have a 360 and it would be convienient to use it altogether.

Not necessarily.  WP7 devices will be released in the UK.  And the Zune Pass will be great for 360 owners as music is coming this Fall.
