40g hard drives are more expensive than 120g drives because more are produced. Do they even make 40 g drives anymore? Having a separate production line for a completely different SKU (case & internals) would probably cost as much as it saves. It's cheaper to use one production line because you need fewer parts and less factory resources. The wifi chip is only a couple of dollars, so not much to save there.



Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.
