Don't get me wrong, I'm really grateful to them for providing me and a lot people an opprotunity to read manga but let's think about the mangakas and publishers position. they are definetly losing a lot of money because of free Scanlations and free online reading sites. |
Also its the case of waiting weeks, months, or years (if you're in a bad country) to get the story. If the scanlators can do it that quick, why can't the publishers themselves do it? Same goes with fan-subbing, really. If you're not willing to do what's possible, someone's going to get it done, and whining, bitching, and suing about it is the lazy way out.
I'd be willing to pay a small monthly fee to be able to watch anime that was fan-subbed as quickly and effeciently as it already is, and i would imagine it's the same for many people with manga. It's as much a matter of waiting as anything.
