No, I'm not talking about The Last Airbender, I'm talking about Avatar: the Last Airbender.

I watched the first few episodes on Netflix out of boredom a few weeks ago not really expecting to get into it.  I knew it was from Nickelodeon but it was like an anime and I just don't like anime.  I was mainly sick of a friend who constantly pesters me to watch it so I figured I'd watch a few episodes to get him off my back.

So I did and I was instantly hooked!

**that be spoilers ahead**

For the first book, it did start off pretty slow but I loved the idea of Banished Prince without even knowing his story and Iroh is just awesome.  It was also kind of a neat world, I don't know who had the strange fetish with melding animals together, but it works!

So I did a marathon of the first season and by the end, I was absolutely hooked.  I came to love all the characters and was absolutely enthralled by Zucho's story.

I immediately began the second book and recognized the awfulness from the video game which made me giggle. but soldiered on.  I thought Toff was going to be annoying but she's awesome!  They dug further into Zucho's storyline and it just keep getting better, and Iroh, of course, was still awesome.  And the whole bit with Oppa!?  Crap, I really felt for the little guy.  By the end of that season I was completely floored by Zucho did and it was great.  I thought he was finally going to join the Avatar and teach him fire bending and then he went with Azula.

Finally, the third season.  This was the best and the worst of the season.  Just about every episode that wasn't a special multiple part one seemed like filler.  Even when concentrating on people I liked, it just still felt boring.  And then it would pick up for a few episodes, I'd be excited, and then it would slow down again.  I barely made it through the third season and probably that episode with the play right before the finale was the hardest but I made it and boy was it worth it

The finale was probably one of the most satisfying series finales I've ever seen.  It had all the action that had been building up the whole season.  The *only* thing that was missing was getting to see Iroh be a complete badass.  They spent all that time hyping him up while he was building himself up in jail, and then nothing.

Still though, Aang fiting the firelord was awesome, Toff in her metal suit was great, the Order of the White Lotus was fun, and the battle with Azula was amazing.
