Wasn't GT5's budget as of the moment that was announceD?  I.e. it is substantially more now?

no the GT5 $60m was announced at the end of last year

So another year's worth of costs are not included?

it think whats mentioned in December 2009 would have included the total till the game's release

also even if they haven't included,it would only be a couple of more millions.below $70million

And presumably, neither is it's promotional budget?

why would the promotional budget be included into the development budget

The last period of a game's development tends to be it's most expensive.  The number of developers employed peaks, as does the number of people being paid to test the game etc.

so you are saying the testers cost more than the developers themselves.........................lmao

and this isn't a normal 2 year game where the last moment alot of work is done.

It will be interesting to see how much Sony spends marketing the game.  They could spend tens of millions.

obviously they will spend tens of million.this is their biggest title.

As I said, and as you would have noted had you properly read my post, the largest concentration of developers AND testers is at the end of the development cycle.

the developers remain the same when working on a project and since the project was already going on for a long time then it would have been stable for atleast last few months

also the testers are more but they don't add much to the budget
