The first target was a relatively "small" shoujo scanlation team.
One at a time. They can definitely target the sites quite easily, and most scanlators have sites these days. They can eventually go back to IRC but that would kill most of the downloads since most people don't know anything about IRC, and then the publishers won that part of the battle. But yes, they'll lose the war for sure.
