I think this would be a perfect time to mention Legolas in the Lord of The Rings movies, lol. Or how about the Yoda vs Sidious battle near the end of Revenge of The Sith?
I agree and find it annoying when CGI and such is used a little too much and I think it kills the intended effect. The Spiderman movies are a really good example, especially with how many times you can clearly see that it's CGI. Revenge of the Sith is a VERY good example too with the Yoda vs Sidious battle. I almost crack up laughing when I see it because it goes from close ups of Sidious where it's the actor playing the part and he moves slowly to CGI when the camera is farther back and he's moving MUCH faster. *edit* not to mention it's akward (for my eyes at least) to see the actors in the CGI backgrounds for most of the movie.
