I know this is a sad view of life, but typically the other way around ....they get away with it. If I remember correctly the sentence for a father is less harsh in most of those cases. In fact this is the first time I seen 9-30 years thrown around in a case like this.

You know, at an anthropology class at college we actually learned that historically women have recied harsher punishment when it comes to sexual offenses (like adultery for example).
