Well, a child can assume adult rights if they can prove capacity to make decisions and deal with the responsibility like an adult but only if the parent has broken their filail contract by abuse or abandonment.

So her lawyer could argue that she did abandon him and that the child could of been making adult decisions.

In the end though the sentancing was very harsh, I would say damages should indicate the length of her time in jail. If she ruined the child then 30 years and if the child remains the same as he was before the incident then then at the most she should be seperated from that "child".

If this was  father to daughter thing though then I could understand the harsh sentancing as there are parts to women physically that are broken in such a case that may never mend again and that's not even looking at the emotional trauma.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.
