It seems a lot of you are arguing about tech or random stuff about glasses and whatnot, when the basic logic is simple:

3D with glasses added 4 to 5 years into the console's life cycle- gimmick, niche.

3D without glasses that can be adjusted or even turned off by design- feature.

see how I just face pwned Sony?

I have no problem with my PS3 at all, but will I use 3D with it? fuck no.

I have no problem with the 3DS at all, but will I use 3D with it? dood it's a fucking feature built into the hardware by default lawl, of course I will!

So bashing is fine.

And if you like the idea of 3D gaming from the 3DS, and realise that a better experience could be had on your PS3?

- Anyway, bottom line is that people in here are talking like the 3DS will have a big impact on 3DTV - It won't.

no we are just thinking logically.

our main basis is the fact that most all people RECENTLY upgraded to HDTV.  they have been around for a long time, even back on thinking of the huge dimension tv's.  then flat panals slowly started coming out, then the need to upgrade or buy receiver thiung and so on.  It took quite some time and people waited and waited until they FINALLY upgraded.

Now they have just upgraded and you expect them to buy another TV soon.  Hell I bet the average person won't even THINK of buying a new TV for 10 years.

3D is bigger than HD - Period. Kids even care about 3D, wheras they didn't with HD (just a little example).

Basically, it's not only me who thinks that 3D is going to be huge - it's all the major analysts and multinational companies.

They all predict a 3D boom in 2012 - and then big sales in the years following.
