For lag I'm trusting no-one but actual analysis by a proper site. People's perception of lag tends to be all over the place - some feel it's there when it isn't and some don't notice it when it is. In short, people's general impressions mean little next to actual recording measurements of lag, and that's why you can search and easily find someone saying I didn't notice any and others say they did.
But I'll take this as a promising opinion based on nothing but individual perception.
For me the key message coming out is that Kinect is fun, it is interesting, but the lineup is looking a little weak and there is the suspicion that, at least at this early stage, MS have less idea what to actually do with the tech than Nintendo did with the Wii (which shouldn't be a shocker really).
The title that most interested me around Kinect was Milo & Kate, but judging by more recent marketing MS is going to go all out after proven approaches from Nintendo and it may be a while before we see someone really try to do something original with Kinect.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
