Only 5? For what is arguably the best system ever? You sadist, this is going to be a real challenge. But I'll take a stab at it:

1. Final Fantasy 5

2. Shin Megami Tensei

3. Final Fantasy 6

4. Chrono Trigger

5. Crap... hmm... oh, wait! Brandish.

And I hated leaving things like FF4, SMRPG, Actraiser, Brain Lord, SMT2, etc, off... and I could go on for quite a while with this list...
