On the one hand this is obvious - clearly a camera using a skeletal system needs to see your limbs - but on the other I just hand't thought through the implications.  Would a suitably baggy top give it trouble as to where your arms are?

I saw some footage where Kinect seemed able to work out someone from a scarf they had, which was pretty damn good, but the more I think about the fact that you aren't just the controller, you're the signal too (i.e unlike the Wii and Move where a device is sending signals to the console, here you're body is the signal) the more I wonder how specific your dress and posture is going to have to be to get the optimal reading?

Clearly all these devices can be fooled - as a Wii owner I know that and I fully expect Move to be foolable (new word?) too, but I get the feeling that Kinect may be the easiest to fool in terms with messing with it's input (although good SW should help and they can obviously patch over time with improvements as they device matures).

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
