I didn't purchase a single system this generation because of a game or number of games.
I bought the 360 because it was the first system out this generation and I was really intrigued by Xbox Live (I did not own the original Xbox).
I got the PS3 to watch Blu-Ray movies on although I was intrigued by Resistance (But not enough to purchase the system). I did know there would be games I would eventually want to play on it.
I got the Wii because of motion controls and the virtual console. Plus, I just like Nintendo.
