Why are the sales of an MMO brought up?

Success is counted in number of suscribers.... Every year, each suscriber has paid about the price of 2 fully priced games in fees.... so 200K suscribers is probably the equivalent of a 1.5M selling regular game (with price decrease), revenue wise.

Actually, most people that actually play FFXI and get a job above at least 60 has more than one character.  I believe I had my main, my alt, and four mules so I was paying an extra $6 a month.

I played for 6-7 years. Only payed for a main. Never gave in for mules or alts.

Yeah, but I'm also assuming that since you don't macro then you also don't equipment switch for the various spells and situations.  I wouldn't be surpised if you're the type of person that doesn't have sneak oils/invis powders on you at all times, probably doesn't use food, and probably doesn't craft.

Even if you have 120 slots and a satchel having a single properly equipped character is a stretch.

It can be done, you're living proof, but it sure makes it hard to craft, carry consumables, have proper equipment, and do extras like BCNM's and the likes.
