I have good had a craving to play a good SRPG, and I want to satisfy it finally by playing a SRPG thats not FIRE EMBLEM.
You see I am a Fire Emblem whore and with the Exception of Valkyrie Provile: Convenat of the Plume( because its tri-Ace and I am their enetrnal servant), I dont bother or pay much to atention to any other SRPG's and theirs a reason why.
I have FF tactics and Disgea and I dont like either of them because they break the golden rules of SRPG's resurrection/ replacing units and/or grinding. I consider these sins to the genre. The "S" is there for reason and the ability to grind your way out of fights or just ressurect or by more units kills.
So.. I want to start giving other SRPG"s a shot assuming they dont break those taboo's
I am currently lookin at:
1. For ppl who have played Agarest. Is it good? does envolve strategy or is it a grind fest
2. What other non FE SRPG's do you recommend? that dont breajk the toboo's
* I kinda want a console SRPG, as my handheld time is dedicated to Dragon Quest IX
