So I played Dragon Age on PS3, though I haven't finished it yet. I loved the story, but I hated the graphics and fiddly nature of the game. To answer main point, yes it is much better on PC than on consoles. As to you getting it since already had it on PS3. Dont' bother, its not that great a game anyway to end up buying it twice.
As for recomendations, get The Witcher.
