meaning? All I am saying is that the appearance, or otherwise, of GT on Top gear is all but irrelevant from a sales perspective.
What do you believe?

Any awareness raised about a product is good for sales, it's part of the reason why the Wii is what it is today. Car enthusiast watch Top Gear, GT5 is one of the best driving games that's ever going to be released, what makes you think that maybe 5% of those 350 million people that watch the show won't pick up a PS3 or the game?
|
5%... so you believe that it is possible that the appearaed of Gt5 on Top Gear could cause a spike in PS3 sales of 17m, or that GT5 will have 17m more sales than usual?
this forum gets crazier by the week...
anyone else agree with doobie?

it just seems like you are arguing a point for the sake of argueing. no matter what type of advertisement a company does it is guarenteed that only a fraction of the audience that sees it will care. believe it or not but i have zero interest in tampon commercials and yet i see plenty of them on TV.
when halo 3 came out they had a deal with pepsi to release "gamer fuel" with halo on the can. i could just as easily say that the fraction of pop drinkers that are insterested in gaming is low. that fact is irrelevant though as it increased awareness of halo 3. true fact: 100% of customers unaware of a product will not buy that product.
