I don't hate the game at all, like I said I found it very entertaining. I enjoyed the combat, but it didn't really make much difference how you developed your character and was much more dependent on your own skill than the character's abilities. Dragon Age was much more interesting in that regard and there wasn't all the rather silly, artificially placed cover to hide behind. The story and history behind each of the games was very well done though.

One guy said it had a shit story, another guy (ie: you) said it was dumb as ass, and then some other guy started talking about Garrus's armor. I just sensed an unjust amount of animosity from a game from the same developer! You don't see Kirby fans hating on Super Mario Bros.!

This is the story of ME2: Survive, get x members of your team, hit abandoned Collector ship, hit the mothership. That's it, that's the entire story of ME2. As least DA was: Survive, get elves by killingwerwolves, get dwarves by going in the ass end of death, get mages by doing something way fucked up, get humans by doing the same, kill archedemon. Just a tad more involved there.
ME2 had better char development than DA, but because of it it also has an overall very shitty story.

And the story of "Saving Private Ryan" was: They saved Private Ryan.
I seem to recall a little story about an "elusive man", Krogan genocide, some guy's father keeping female members of a crew as sex slaves, backstabbing daughters, getting a fish for some guy, saving kidnapped crew members, etc., etc., etc. It's not the destination. It's the journey!
I got Dragon Age already. I plan to play it today! I mean it, this time!! I'm sure it's a great game (though not as good a Mass Effect 2, according to Meta) and I'll definitely enjoy it. I just think it looks ugly. That's all.
