You dont think the ps3 can sell 4M more units in 08?  In 07 in managed 8.5m and it had bearly anygames, and costed $500 for most of the year.  In 08 it is already gonna start at $400 and will probably see a price cut later in the year.  It will also have a very strong 08 line up.  I think it will be able to sell 12M easily.

 No it only managed around 6.5 million in 2007, it will not double its sales in 2008

It said predictions for 08 not predicitons for the end of its 2nd year.  So that would include the holidays.

 So 7.5 million including the holidays, PS3 won't sell much more than that in 2008, at most 10 million, and that is a stretch

1st of all this holiday season isnt over.  It will be well over 8M after this week.  It did not even have one full year in europe.  Also this year it will be cheaper and will have more games.  It will sale 10M for next year at the very least.

 You're telling me PS3 will sell 1.5 million in two weeks, 750 K a week, doubtful, that would beat even their european launch week figures for two weeks, not likely, also PS3 won't have spikes like that to boost up its sales, its games will sell mostly to those who own a PS3 already, 200K a week WW average is unlikey for the PS3 so I don't think it'll reach 10 million

If it is at 7.75m now then it only needs 250k in one week to pass the 8m mark.(duh)  Most weeks will be under 200k a week but it will have spikes that allow an average of about 200k a week for WW very possible.  (price cuts, games, new sku, and holidays of course.)

 Its not at 7.75 for 2007 (you do realize it launced in 2006 right), its at 6.5 million for 2007, your argument is flawed, it will not sell 12 million in 2008
