I am not from the US so i would have no real idea about the complex US government and how it is run over there.
The Republicans were definitely not the only ones who caused the GFC. But it is too easy to dish out on former President George W. Bush.
The GFC was 30 years in the making. Successive US Governments Republican and Democrats: Carter,Reagan,Bush,Clinton,Bush Jr. and Obama are all to blame for their financial mismanagement of the US economy. The US Congress and US General reserve Bank also played a role in th terrible economic decision policies. But the corporations are the real problem
Wall Street Swindlers are to blame. Bernie Madoff and the other con artists are to blame. Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs and the dodgy traders are to blame. But who will pick up the pieces and fix the problems in the US economy?
Why were these failing corporations bailed out at tax payers expense? Would it of been fair and reasonable to just let them collapse?
