its a leap to think people that watch top gear have an interest in gaming.
Of the half dozen guys I am in business with, all of which watch top gear, only one is interested in gaming... me. The rest have zero interest. I also think the star in a car test track section is the least interesting and amusing part of the whole show.

its a leap to think that the other 349,999,994 viewers have the same lack of interest in games as your friends.
@OT of course they will show it on Top gear if they have before they certainly will now that they are in it. They advertise and promote a fair bit. like when guy ritchie came on they showed the trailer for his new film or katy price's new book they talk into it a bit.

Yes it is... but I didnt say that did I. The point was that the demographic of the Top Gear viewers and gamers are not in any way linked and so I doubt it would makes much difference.
I will bet you any amount of money that Top Gear do NOT "advertise and promote a fair bit", your analogy of the stars promoting their latest film or book is irrelevant, it is the star promoting their book/movie not top gear.
What they may do is a feature where perhaps they get Stig to drive a car around a track and then Jeremy may 'drive' the same virtual car around the track at the same time. That will be the only type of thing they would be allowed to do.

Think of it this way - 350 million "potential" buyers.
