You are missing the point. The problem isn't the administration. It's the government itself and it's programs.

Yea, here is a fun exercise to do.

Take out a pen and paper, and write down all the thing you hated about Bush, and all the things you wanted changed with a new administration.

Now strike though all of them that Obama fixed, or at least changed. Here is a common set of items:

• Unemployment
• Out of control spending
• War in Iraq
• War in Afganistan
• Wire Tapping
• Gitmo
• Water boarding.
• immigration
• Economy

Aside from water boarding (and to the average american, that's way don't on there list of importance), not a damn thing as changed for the better, and most of those have gotten worse. So why would it matter if McCain had won?
