Well yeah. It's a *next-generation* EyeToy, meaning it uses the same base design as the EyeToy but provides a whole generation's worth of improvements over said design. There's nothing wrong with such a statement.
The word "just" in the article title implies a negative connotation that was not present in the actual interview. It'd be like saying "the ps3 is just a next-generation ps2", as if that were somehow a damning trait.
