Also I agree with your second point untill you get covered in 5 foot of snow and are unabke to leave your house.

That's the crazy thing about us Canadians. 5 feet of snow doesn't stop us from getting out of our house or from driving 200km on that day.

In England when we get half an inch of snow, everyone goes into meltdown (excuse the pun). In January we had the worst winter for 30 years, some people love to make the most of certain situations, other countries are so use to it they just don't care hahaha.
