I personally didn't like it, never really gave it a fair shot I guess, only played like 3 hours or so, if an RPG doesn't grab me within 3 hours it gets shelved, and yes, that includes Valkyria as well..  Below is the list of all the RPG's that I bought this gen for 360 and PS3 (Not including Wii - that's another story) and if I finished them or got bored and shelved them

White Knight Chronicles - Beaten (I know but I was SO HYPED for this game)

Oblivion - Beaten
Mass Effect - Beaten
Mass Effect 2 - Beaten
Tales of Vesparia - Shelved
Two Worlds - Shelved
Folklore - Shelved

 

Now I haven't played other games like Blue Dragon but I think I have bought pretty much every RPG this gen for these systems, you can see I'm slightly picky
