If you ever notice 90% of all of that is from the older generation. Our generation only learns it from the older generation. If our generation keeps an openmind and ignores the older generation's crap then we can all live happy when they are old and retired.
Just keep an openmind on everything and teach everyone you can to keep an openmind. Equality is for the greater good for humanity. Without it we will eventually kill ourselves.
And I dont know if you are religous or not but if you are make yourself an agnostic version of that religion. I'm an Catholic Agnostic. Basically while I was born in and will say that I believe in the greater being of "God" (not specifically the being of what the story book of the Bible says but of a being of good will and of high-power) I am willing to learn and get a greater understanding of how other religions work and what they believe to better objectivify what I believe in overall.

Here is the thing. We are fighting over non-living items. Who cares, heated debate and some battles of words will always exists as everyone will defend their choices in what they boughts and like. As long as we dont kill eachother over it or attack a person's dignity because they bought game system X instead of Y.
What needs to end is things like racism, pre-judgement and, hate for the fellow human. Maybe eventually religion needs to end or at least people need to consider religion a non-living entity that needs to be treated as such. Debate it, yes; kill over it and hate the fellow human because they dont believe what you believe, no.

Bile and hate are bile and hate. Does it matter if it is over things that matter or not? The attitude is the same. All you can say is that fanboy flamewars regarding videogames defang the hatred some. But it is the same.
As far as the end of religion goes, good luck. That is like saying the end of language also. It just doesn't happen. Religion has evolutionary components in it, that embed into the human existence, like language. To say that it will just die, and say it "needs to end" means you totally rip out part of human existence and its evolution. Attempts by Marxists have failed badly (materialistic atheism is a failure as far as an ideology goes). Eventually what does happen is the religious folks who want to kill unbelievers drop to the wayside. It happens. The Christian religion now doesn't have it. And Islam is the next that needs to resolve it.
By the way, what part of religion is responsible for hairism? I don't know any religion on the planet that discriminates against people based on their hair color. Shoot, I don't even see the KKK doing that. Hairism is a form of hatred that comes out of a completely secular context. Apparently hatred you rail against is part of human nature, and can't be left at the door of religion.
