Just because people will get used to and accept the limitations of some products does not mean that they will get used to and accept the limitations of all products. Glasses based 3D has been around for decades and (to this day) people still think that they’re "lame" ... What makes you think that after several decades (and multiple revisions of 3D glasses) with people rejecting the concept of 3D glasses that they're suddenly going to accept them?

What I think is a reasonably fair estimate at this point in time is that 25% of households would probably consider buying a glasses-based 3DTV depending on the cost, quality and available content; and for 75% of households the dependence on 3D glasses makes it a non-starter. With a noticeable premium for 3DTVs and (basically) no 3D content there will (likely) be little reason to buy a 3DTV before 2015 (at the earliest).

Now, over the next 5 years exposure to glasses free 3D displays (like the 3DS and possibly some computer monitors) might make people less likely to accept the limitations of glasses based 3D displays; because they will not see them as a "necessary evil" and may come to the conclusion that glasses free displays in the living room are only a couple of years off.
