Ask yourself: If MW2 was on a single-platform, say X-BOX, would it have reached 15m that fast?

By the way, why don't we combine platforms of New Super Mario Bros? DS Wii = 35 million. Wow. Best selling game EVAR.

(and this works since everyone says the Wii version is just a DS port as you know)

Again weak, just because they have the same title doesn't mean they're the same game.

MW2 PS360 are the same game.

I bet you were one of those people who, not long ago, said NSMB Wii was just a port of the DS version.

Now you are backtracking, of course.

Comparing the combined sales of multi-platform games is a backwards way of measuring games sales. NPD recently did this with their "top 10 best selling games" and they got "Namco Museum" in their top 10 list.

I'm sure you remember Namco Museum, don't you? Oh you don't? Well it apparently outsold Grand Theft Auto 4, somehow. That's because when you combine the 40 odd platforms that it was released on, you get amazing sales.

Same goes for Guitar Hero 3, Madden 07, and all the Call of Duty games on that list. When you combine the sales across platforms it distorts things.

This is not to say Modern Warfare 2 is not a strong selling title. But my guess is that if it was exclusive to X-box or PS3, it wouldn't be reaching 15 million as fast as 2d Mario.

Nope, I don't take notice of what games come out for wii, or it's sales. You think I'm some sort of wii basher just because I'm bringing this incorrect news title into focus. You have a jaded view of folk on here clearly ...

All I'm seeing is you trying to say multiplatform games don't count. MW2 is A game, 1 platform or 3, as long as it isn't any different, it's the same game. MW2 is the same on PS3 and 360, therefore it's the fastest game to reach 15 million.
