360 wheel says hi too yet even Forza 3 (as well as all 360 racing games) steering wheel is an after thought.(there is athe case where controls are mapped to the right analog stick which wheels don't have.) When the 911 Turbo S first came out some thought the wheel's FFB was weak until they learn it was Forza 3 not the wheel. GT3 RS v2 is Fanatec best wheel I would still get this instead even though it's not for 360. A good wheel still needs good software to take advantage of the wheel. |
Actually the FFB isnt considered weak. The rumble is. But Turn 10 got it right. It's just many no real racers understand.
The complete experience for Forza 3 is FFb wheel plus Buttkicker. When driving a real car there isnt alot of rumble through the wheel. Alot of games excessively put rumble through the wheel. Note that rumble is completely different from tension on the wheel whilst turning against forces of nature.
Things like being hit in the rear, the side, over a rumble strip etc, the tension of the wheel being forced left or right is great. But the rumble was designed to come through the entire chair moreso than the wheel. In other words a far more realistic experience.
