Rare is underperforming as far as I can see. It's the reason Nintendo gave for selling them off.
Man, I just remembered that, something like 2 years ago, a rumor was printed in EGM (shortly before their demise) that stated Rare was likely working on a new Killer Instinct game, which could potentially be awesome, but apparently nothing ever came of that.
