No need for the link.  I downloaded that trailer to my 360 days ago.

Just because you can cut doesn't mean that's all you'll do.  Just like MGS4 featured hiding in plain sight (Octo-Camo) and there was more to it than just that.  The ability to cut everything is just a cool technological feature.  Look how slow Raiden moves!  It's comparable to Snake.  I figure that combat is what happens when all hell breaks loose or you just want some action.
