People may like the former, but there's no way to tell if they like the latter (I think it's pretty safe to say, that would be a tiny group). It's like pretending that the PS2, the best selling home console ever, sold because people like wired controllers. Then, imagine Nintendo coming around and being the only one offering wireless controllers, and advertising the fact that "Our controllers are better! There are no more cumbersome wires to trip or get tangled up on!"
